Thanking the ordinary hours for carrying you here.
Read the script slowly, in your own time — or record it in your voice and it will play here.

01Let your hands rest open, palms up. It is a small gesture, but the body understands it.
02Think back to the very beginning of today. The first sound you heard. The first light. Thank it.
03Move slowly forward through the hours. Do not judge them. Simply pass through them, pausing wherever something was kind.
04The ordinary hours carried you here. They asked for nothing.
05Breathe in slowly, and as you breathe out, let the word 'thank you' go with the breath. Six times, with no hurry.
06Now make a soft place for what is still unfinished. It does not need gratitude yet. It only needs somewhere gentle to wait.
07One last breath. Let your hands close. Whatever comes next, you arrive at it with an open palm.
