A practice with Karen
One honest minute with the thing you keep avoiding.

01Sit down and let the breath settle without managing it.
02Name the thing you keep walking past. Say it plainly, inside. No softening.
03Notice the body's answer — where it tightens. Breathe there for three breaths, without arguing.
04Now shrink the thing until it is small enough to be done today. Not the whole mountain. One stone.
05See yourself doing that one stone's worth. Nothing more.
06Say inside: the smallest brave thing still counts as brave.
07Take a full breath, open your eyes, and go and do it while the steadiness is still warm.
